We began working with Scott Properties in 2019 when they approached us ahead of the launch of a new development of 16 2 and 3 bedroom retirement bungalows. Located not far from Clacton-On-Sea, these properties located in a peaceful rural setting offered a wide range of services and facilities within easy reach for residents.
Whilst social media may not be the first choice for marketing retirement bungalows, the latest data shows that 10.9% of Facebook users in the UK are aged 55-64, with 9.1% aged 65 and over (Statisa, May 2021) meaning that Scott Properties could place their properties in front of the people who would most likely be ready to or already retired, and possibly interested in relocating to the coast.
Using a paid social media advertising strategy and a good understanding of their target market, their interests and demographics, we set up a series of Facebook Ads. Directing people to book a showhome viewing and to sign up for more information, our campaign generated 1,261,648 impressions and 40,722 clicks to their website via Facebook and Instagram. This led to a fully sold-out development within a matter of months.
